Specialist Support

The Wellbeing Team at Pacific Valley includes a professionally trained Counsellor and two Chaplains. They strive to create a safe, compassionate and inclusive environment where students are valued, heard and supported.

Our approach is a holistic one in which the emotional, social and psychological needs of students are addressed. We aim to empower our students to thrive personally and academically whilst developing resilience that will benefit them throughout their lives.

We are aware that student wellbeing goes beyond the classroom and our team is proactive in collaborating with parents, caregivers and external agencies when required.

Relationships

We understand that social dynamics can sometimes be challenging for young people and the Wellbeing Team is well equipped to guide them through challenging and difficult experiences. Whether it relates to navigating conflict, fostering healthy relationships or developing effective communication skills, our Counsellor and Chaplains offer guidance and strategies to build positive connections.

Stress Management

Academic pressures, relationships and other external factors can contribute to students experiencing unhealthy stress levels. Our team works closely with students and their families to provide a cohesive support network that nurtures the holistic development of each child.

Mental Health

Our Counsellor and Chaplains recognise the importance of early intervention and prevention when it comes to mental health. We understand that children of all ages can be impacted by a variety of mental health issues. We provide a safe space for students to discuss their concerns and receive guidance. We work closely with mental health professionals and, when necessary, we are able to seek appropriate help.
